  • Description:Border opened to allow citizens from outside Schengen make their way home At 2100 local time the border Austria-Hungary opened. The humanitarian corridor started, as announced by Karl Nehammer, Austria interior minister, today afternoon. From 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. then Romanian citizens were allowed to cross Hungary, and until midnight Bulgarian citizens were allowed to cross it. It was a difficult situation during the day. Hundreds of cars where queuing, people from Romania and Bulgaria were stranded. The police tried to calm down the situation. Now finally in the night hours police opened the border crossing.
