- Description: Karissa is a screenwriting graduate of the National Film and Television School. Here, she worked on various projects, most notably animated short film Kahanikar ? The Storyteller with director Nandita Jain, which was in the Official Selection at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in 2011. It also won Best Animated Short at the Los Angeles Indie Short Fest and was longlisted for the Academy Awards. In 2018, she was commissioned to write an online spin-off from CBBC?s flagship series The Dumping Ground, which is due to air on BBC iPlayer and YouTube later in 2019. She is currently developing a series entitled Perspective with Hillbilly Films, while also having a teen drama The Party optioned by Ecosse for All4.
