- Summary: Confessions of a Shopaholic: Confessions of a Shopaholic Junket Isla Fisher Interview
- Description:15:31:06 - Sound Bite: Isla Fisher is her character different from her? Pretty much so, yeah, I think thats why I loved playing her and found it very hard to you know the last day of set when I on set rather when I had to get out of the costume I sort of I felt very sad because she was so much fun. 15:31:29 - Sound Bite: Isla Fisher does she like costumes and stuff? I do, I do, and for a character like this, the costume was so important. You know she needed to look like a shopaholic, I wanted her to be in really high heels so she would totter and you know the fact that she was buying practical shoes just because they were on sale, it seemed amusing to me, and uh yeah you know I think it really informed who she was, all the, there was layers of, you could see she was just a materialistic person just by looking at her outfit. 15:32:19 - Sound Bite: Isla Fisher why do people shop No I think people shop for different reasons and uh and uh but I do think it is an identity thing in some ways like people feel like if they have a new top theyll be a new person or you know who knows. 15:32:38 - Sound Bite: Isla Fisher did she know shopaholics anonymous existed I didnt until researched it. Yeah theyre not called shopaholics theyre called under and over spenders anonymous. But theres all different styles of shopping, you know theres bulimic shopping, collective shopping, image shopping, trophy shopping, um and uh and men actually suffer from it just as much. Its actually quite sad, its terrible to talk about because Im promoting a really happy, funny movie with a heart, but its definitely, there is a whole other world as were seeing now in the economic climate as it is um just how many people are in debt and how uh how many people have had this issue.
