So uhm we kind of went through it together, you know it was my first time doing something of this size, Id never done CGI before and it was her first time in front of the camera. 01:23:25 - Sound Bite: Chris Weitz You have to keep it constantly in mind that it is about the people and that even the people are talking Polar Bears or you know talking animal spirits their also people as well, uh you try to protect the good work that the actors do and make an environment in which they can uh use all there talent to the fullest yeah. 01:24:00 - Sound Bite: Chris Weitz It is, in some ways it has nothing to do with the film at all but its wonderful that everyone throws a big party for it and its its really great that after three years of sustained after that theres suddenly this fantastic up swelling of interest where as weve been doing all of this in secret for years you know nobodys allowed on set, you couldnt bring a cell phone with a a camera function to it and now were just opening the whole thing up to the world. 01:24:49 - B-Roll - The Golden Compass London Premiere Sam Elliott 01:26:36 - Sound Bite: Sam Elliott Yeah you know we talked about that, its not like this characters a stranger to me at this point you know Ive. Ive played him often for 40 years you know Ive got that western baggage that Ive been carrying around for a long time and the truth of it is I think thats the reason Im here you know Chris Weitz wanted me to do this thing because of what came before you know I used to grouse about that a lot but Ive gotten gotten over that, grown up and grown out of it or whatever now Im just happy to have a job. 01:29:47 - Sound Bite: Sam Elliott Well it is a lot of difference you know what I mean the first thing is everyone calls you Som instead of Sam you know thats a little bizarre but its huge I mean its a big deal to come here its the only place to have the premiere for this movie which emanated in this country so its the only place to be. But the scope of this thing and the size of it, from the size of the movie to the size of the event tonight is mindboggling on some level
