HRN-1575 In: 11.47.25 Out: 11.49.11 Sound Bite: Kevin Bacon Yeah it was familiar certainly the crew uh is a, was Aucklands crew and its a very well oiled machine, Marcia and I worked together on Mystic River but we really only had one tiny little scene uhm so you know I think weve sort of known each other and you know we actually had one really kind of strong emotional connection which was on September 12th uh 2001 uhm like we met at uh like near a triage center or something like that and just happen to run into each other and you know, if you see somebody that you know on that particular day its kind of you know you sort of make some kind of a connection that was really very very strong had a lot of resonance for me. (talks) and I think that uh you know one of the great challenges as an actor is to uh create history that you dont have history with. You know we had to make it feel like wed been married for whatever it is 20 years and and the and the we had been in love and it wasnt working out and you know all those things are are sometimes uhm difficult and I think both of us were really committed to the fact uhm that we were really wanted it to look like a real marriage and uh thats the thing that I think Im most proud of uhm shes you know phenomenal. Actress and uhm you know had a lot of really really difficult places to go and this film and uh I was happy to be there with her and and you know trying to be supportive of her process. 11:49:20 - A02. The idea that its just a heart beat that there lives all work and and then its gone but I found that very very moving. HRN-1575 In: 11.50.36 Out: 11.51.14 Sound Bite: Kevin Bacon Well uh people that work on trains generally really really love trains just like he does uhm you know and I have a great fondness for trains as a, theres a certain kind of romance to them that Ive had ever since I was a kid, I never played with the models but Ive ridden on big trains my whole life and uh if I ever, if I had the time and could choose to travel in any kind of way thats thats my favorite my favorite mode of travel much more so than airplanes and cars. 11:51:32 - A05. HRN-1575 In: 11.51.32 Out: 11.52.03 Sound Bite: Kevin Bacon Well to tell you the truth it was more question to me trying to get Allison to say yes to me she uh you know was, took a long time interms of the casting and really didnt want to have people that uh she didnt feel really comfortable with and really didnt feel that they really got her vision that they didnt have the same kind of passion that she did. So we have a lot of conversations and uh I was thrilled that I finally talked her into it.
