- Description:00:00:17 - Harry Potter fans 00:00:26 - B-Roll Emma Watson signing autographs 00:01:35 - Sound Bite: David Yates You know weve had a premiere in Paris and a premiere in London and its kind of like this, everybody goes crazy for Harry Potter and everybody goes crazy for Rupert and Emma so its uh, you know traveling with them is like traveling with the Beatles its unbelievable and there the sweetest loveliest kids and very centered and levelheaded so they kind of recognize this for what it is which is great enthusiasm and there grateful for it and were grateful for it. 00:02:06 - Sound Bite: David Yates I think they still get quite nervous and excited about it frankly, I mean who wouldnt, I mean its amazing actually. 00:02:20 - Sound Bite: David Yates Completely at home, it was like coming home in fact and they made me feel there always, I think they did lots of homework on me before I turned up you know what is David Yates like, whats he done, lets look at all of his work. And they like being uhm tested and pushed as actors and I really pushed them cause I felt they were right now to find depth and nuance in some of the complicated things emotionally we were looking at in the film but they made me feel fantastically at home. 00:02:51 - Sound Bite: David Yates Im doing the next film you know when Im not doing this Im getting Half Blood Prince ready. So uhm very different film than Order of the Phoenix, Im very proud of Order of the Phoenix, its intense and emotional, Half Blood Prince is Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll, (talks) yeah what are we all going to do, its going to be a real shame when Jo finally finishes the stories but like everybody else I cant wait to see. 00:03:28 - B-Roll David Yates, Davis Barron 00:04:33 - B-Roll Daniel Radlciffe walking towards fans, Rupert Grint on red carpet 00:04:47 - Sound Bite: Ashley Tisdale 00:06:37 - B-Roll Rupert Grint talking to reporters 00:08:12 - Sound Bite: Michael Goldenberg You know I think its just staying true to the book, staying true to the book and the honesty of the book and thats we were all trying to do right from the beginning is to do the best possible movie version of the book and when everybodys on the same page about that stuff it makes it easy. 00:08:34 - Sound Bite: Michael Goldenberg The cast is great, I mean theyre incredibly talented, there amazing supportive, they know the characters after doing five films now it makes it a lot easier to write for the actually cause youve seen them do it before, you know what they can do and its fun to try and push them further and give them new challenges. 00:08:56 - Sound Bite: Michael Goldenberg I cant wait no Ill be there at midnight, I want to see how it ends. (talks) Oh god no, I wish. (talks) Ill probably take a vacation I think, go to a nice spot and read the book and relax from all this you know. 00:09:26 - B-Roll Michael Goldenberg and David Heyman 00:10:27 - Sound Bite: David Heyman How could it ever get old, I mean this is the fifth Harry Potter but it is the first one weve had US premiere weve had in La and the enthusiasm and excitement of the fans thats something you can never get tired of. And these books, each book had a different challenges and different opportunities and and Jo Rowling keeps us inspired and the fans keep coming, its great. 00:10:52 - Sound Bite: David Heyman Well I think the biggest challenge is to be true to the spirit of the books, is to acknowledge that we cant keep everything in but to make the choice, the best choice that we can. And if we make a film thats true to the books then I think the audience will be happy and the real hardcore fans well always have some that say oh youve left this out and trust me I get, there are things that kill me that we cant keep in. But you have to, the films and books are a different medium and we have to make the best film we can and as I say that sometimes means leaving things we love out. 00:11:28 - Sound Bite: David Heyman Well in various ways, one theyve completely remained unaffected buy this all, there good kids you know theyre warm, there generous and there committed. Uhm also as actors there getting, better and better and better and theyre able to, this is the fourth director theyre working with on the Harry Potter films, they know there characters well but theyre willing to embrace the new directors and there realizing that each time they can learn and do better. And I think this film they do there best performances ever and thats really exciting. 00:12:04 - Sound Bite: David Heyman Yeah Im really excited about it, whats amazing to me is here we are weve read six books, Ive been intimately involved with them all uhm and no them inside out and yet I and none of the fans know what going to happen in a world where so much of its culture is predictable, so many movies you know when go in you know whats going to happen in the end, with this, we dont know and we want to know and theres thing a website says this and theories thats amazing so I cant wait to read it. 00:12:39 - B-Roll Rupert Grint, Masi Oka, Rupert Grint 00:15:35 - B-Roll Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint 00:18:29 - Sound Bite: Rupert Grint Its really crazy actually, yeah I think this has been the biggest one ever I think, so getting out of the car was quite scary because I was shaking a bit I dont know (talks) No I dont think so, not when its like this. I mean all of the premieres has been relatively large and this has been a lot of people but this is just been crazy yeah, its a really good film. 00:18:29 - Sound Bite: Rupert Grint Yeah no its really good that theyve sort of kept the same cast cause through the time weve really got to know each other really well weve become really good mates so its really good. 00:19:12 - Sound Bite: Rupert Grint This one hes a lot more grown up, in the last one he was going through a bit of an awkward stage with girls and he was falling out with Harry all the time and getting jealous uh but this time hes a lot more sort of focused and a lot more uh tougher I guess so it was fun to do that as well. 00:19:32 - Sound Bite: Rupert Grint Yeah no really good, David Yates is wicked, its a lot different then the other ones weve had before, he was just really laid back and relaxed, he was just really cool. 00:19:52 - Sound Bite: Rupert Grint Oh no, I cant remember no, it was a long time ago, Ive still got the video, but yeah that was pretty lucky (talks) sort of like lets see, alright, it was uhm ok I cant remember it was something like I cant remember, it was sort of just about how much I wanted to be in the film and just some information about me, it was quite good actually but I cannot remember any of it. Im going to try, learn it though, next time. 00:20:34 - B-Roll Cu Rupert Grint 00:21:51 - B-Roll Rupert Grint talking to reporters, Imelda Staunton 00:22:25 - Sound Bite: Imelda Staunton Well very welcoming, because they so know very well what theyre doing and its, you know every year they welcome someone knew so it was very easy, very nice. 00:22:37 - Sound Bite: Imelda Staunton My daughter would have killed me if I said no. Its a wonderful script and its a wonderful part, thats why of course. 00:22:52 - Sound Bite: Imelda Staunton Well not for me but it is for the guys, you know the three heroes uhm but I mean thats part of the job you know there job on the day is to tell the story that J.K. Rowlings has written and the other part of the job is to come here and promote it. 00:23:09 - Sound Bite: Imelda Staunton Well Id worked with Dan before he did Harry Potter when he was 10 and it was just lovely to see how hes developed and how brilliant an actor he is. 00:23:34 - B-Roll Daniel Radcliffe 00:24:34 - B-Roll Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe 00:26:07 - Sound Bite: Daniel Radcliffe Uhm I think thats very hard to say obviously the impacts been huge, I suppose the main thing is its got a generation of kids into reading, myself included, I wasnt really a reader before I read Harry Potter and now Im sort of you know I devour any literature I can find really. Uhm so yeah I think that would probably be the main impact its had. 00:27:17 - Sound Bite: Daniel Radcliffe Its fantastic its just you know its great, its its its quite over whelming but you know its good fun, its enjoyable and the fact that they all come see the film its brilliant you know its like a very big thank you from everybody. 00:27:41 - Sound Bite: Daniel Radcliffe I think the films are just, I think that it comes down to the fact that its brilliant stories and that there fantastic and that there told brilliantly not only by J.K. Rowling but there told fantastically by the directors who take on the various books. So I think to be able to honest thats what it comes down to, there just brilliant stories and there told well. 00:28:05 - Sound Bite: Daniel Radcliffe No I dont think, I would have hated to influence the way shes writing him because she knows him better than anyone and so you know it would not have been good for her to be influenced by her, no. 00:28:27 - Sound Bite: Daniel Radcliffe Right thats very nice of him, Davids a great guy, I dont think thats quite true, were certainly not the Beatles. 00:28:42 - B-Roll Daniel Radcliffe 00:29:31 - B-Roll Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, Chris Rankin 00:31:54 - Sound Bite: Chris Rankin Its amazing, this is the first American premiere Ive been to and I was at the London one on Tuesday and all the fans came out there and theres more of them here, it makes, its things like this when you realize just how huge Harry Potter is. 00:32:12 - Sound Bite: Chris Rankin Yeah its quite mad, I dont understand it myself, but they love it and they love us so thats great. 00:32:23 - Sound Bite: Chris Rankin You know I really like it because I think it keeps the films nice and fresh and I mean we had the same director for the first two movies and that was great because it was a nice introduction but now every movie weve had someone different, its been nice to get a change feel the film go in a slightly different direction every time. It just keeps it fresh. 00:32:44 - Sound Bite: Chris Rankin Well I mean we never see the special effects until we go sit in the cinema and watch it so for us it doesnt change that much but when you sit and watch it you really appreciate what a huge difference it makes and it, on this one its amazing absolutely amazing . 00:33:36 - B-Roll Emma Watson 00:38:44 - Sound Bite: Emma Watson Uh its amazing, its absolutely amazing, weve had such a good reception here in LA I mean the amount of people that have turned up and the hype and the excitement is its amazing. 00:39:02 - Sound Bite: Emma Watson Uhm shes kind of a rebel in this one, shes really up for breaking the rules. She really like people are really surprised at how she acts to Umbridge shes kind of the one who comes up with the DA she comes up with it all shes really part of the action in this one. I mean in the 4th one she kind of took the back seat she was watching Harry supporting him but in this one shes dragging the boys around again like she was in the third so its cool. 00:39:32 - Sound Bite: Emma Watson I love it, I really love it, theyre kind of like my family, they keep me safe and they support me uhm its really nice (talks0 Uh yeah its kind of like Harry Potter Mania, its crazy.
