- Summary: HARRISON FORD/FIREWALL: "Firewall" Junket Harrison Ford Interview
- Description:15:33:28 - Harrison Ford: "When are you gonna do Indiana Jones?" Interviewer: Of course. That was one of the first things on my mind. 15:33:53 - Interviewer: This genre really works for you more than other actors "No I take it as a compliment. I'm grateful for that, thank you. I just don't know how to wrap my head around that. I think what works for me as an audience is an emotional context thats strong enough to keep me as an audience, sealed into the story. And if you have a character on screen that has a varied and interesting emotional path to cover; thats what I look for as a hook for the audience." 15:34:36 - Interviewer: The motivation to protect your family? "The emotion rises from that circumstances. Family had been taken hostage by the bad guys that compel him to defeat his own computer security system which he has designed for the bank he works for. So very sophisticated means are proposed to break into the banks computer network and to wire transfer funds to a secure place for the bad guy. But hes using stone aged techniques as well in threatening my family to compel me to do it. 15:35:16 - Interviewer: It's scary to think about how people can tap into your personal information 15:35:33 - Thats what a firewall is for. And thats what protects your computer from people coming into it and rummaging around in your life. A new story line all the time 15:35:47 - Interviewer: It's funny how technology gives you a new storyline all the time. 15:35:59 - It does and in the same time what works in a film or what works in a story is the same elemental sort of things. As Shakespeare said, theres 7 plots. So we do continue to dip into the same wells. 15:36:23 - Interviewer: Were you the first on board? "Well. At first there was a writer." 15:36:28 - Interviewer: Do you get involved with the casting? I happen to admire Verginia Madson. "Ya sure we all do, and we were very lucky to get her, when she was luxuriating in the profits of a long well spent career we had an opportunity for her and were very lucky to get her." 15:37:07 - Interviewer: Now can I ask you about Indiana Jones? "Sure. Were closer than weve ever been. Its on the front burner finally and I think it will happen pretty soon." 15:37:21 - Interviewer: Do you have a script? "Were working on it, were working on it." 15:37:28 - Interviewer: Were you a part in it actively "I gave my notes, but there's a structure that the 3 of us are working with.. me and Steven and George. Im happy."
