- Title: Whatever You Want: Criminal Justice
- Date: 29th November 1982
- Summary: Did you know that 80% of all young people admitted to custody break the law again within a year of being released. Mark Astaire did and that's why he came to us. Thus this week we turn to young offenders, what happens to them when they break the law and what the implications are of the recently passed criminal justice bill. Mark will take a look inside an Oxfordshire detention centre as well as examining the alternatives to locking young people away. The new criminal justice bill has a lot to say about the best ways of dealing with young offenders but does it put its money where its mouth is? Patrick Mayhew MP and Robert Kilroy Silk MP discuss. Music is provided by 2 bands Southern Death Cult and the Virgin Prunes. Part rock show, part drama, the Prunes have built up a faithful cult following in their short history. Keith Allen's ascerbic wit completes the package and a good time is guaranteed for all.
