- Title: 10 Years Younger: In Ten Days
- Date: 28th April 2004
- Summary: Stylist Nicky Hambleton-Jones presents an extreme makeover show which aims to make someone look at least ten years younger each week. The participant has to undergo a humiliating poll in which members of the general public have to guess their age. The participant inevitably looks older than they should for their age and Hambleton-Jones confronts them with their average poll age. The programme then attempts to improve the participant's look by using a combination of plastic surgery, dentistry,a new haircut,make-up and a new wardrobe in the hope that a second poll will produce an average age that is at least ten years younger than the first result. The real challenge, however,is that all this has to be done in just ten days. Narrator: Simon Chadwick Producer: Dave Smith (episode one) This week single mum,Bernie Sharp,a junk food addict and smoker from Manchester is told that her average age from a public poll is 51. Bernie is only 45 and admits that she needs help. Patrick Bowler,a Harley Street plastic surgeon, injects Botox into Bernie's face in order to give her a more youthful appearance. Hairdresser to the stars,Nicky Clark gives Bernie's hair a new colour. Louise Constalde, celebrity makeup artist, notices Bernie's moustache and declares that needs to be got rid of on top of a severe eyebrow plucking which should take years off her. Louise also teaches Bernie some new makeup techniques. On top of this Bernie visits a dentist to get new veneers and is taken shopping by Nicky Hambleton-Jones to get a whole new wardrobe. At the second poll Bernie's average age comes out at 42.
