- Summary: (Episode six) Having been posing as Ian's false girlfriend for a while now whilst sleeping with Lip,Mandy Maguire announces she is pregnant. Lip and Ian argue about what to do but the Maguire's decide for them as they pick up Ian and tell him he will marry their daughter and become part of the family. Lip thinks Ian is crazy but Ian doesn't have any choice considering the Maguire's are the hardest family on the estate. Frank is shocked and outraged to find Cassie Western from the brewery behind the bar at the Jockey having sent Jez off for extra training. She refuses to give Frank any drinks until he has paid all of his ?365 out-standing tab. Fiona meets a new man called Craig when her bag gets stolen from a little kid,she indulges in a bit of fun in an attempt to get Steve out of her head. Sheila decides to stop taking all her medication because she doesn't want to pass on anything harmful to the twins through her breast milk,she starts hallucinating but no one seems to notice. Frank manages to get Cassie to agree to wipe his bar tab if he sleeps with her,he asks Kev to interrupt them so he doesn't have to go through with it but Karen ruins the plan and tells him she'll make sure he loses everything if he ever touches her again. Fiona is full of regrets the next morning and tells Craig to leave. Lip refuses to come to Mandy and Ian's engagement party but turns up during the speeches and tells everyone he is the father,Ian pretends to be angry and a huge fight breaks out. To end it all Sheila turns up screaming and out of control,so Cassie tells Frank he is barred and the Maguire's decide that they want nothing to do with the Gallagher family and tell them all to stay away from the baby. Ian thanks Lip for saving him and confides his secret to Fiona who promises not to tell anyone he is gay. Sheila goes back on the medication,Jez returns from training and Fiona apologises to Craig.
- Description:The second series of drama SHAMELESS tells the every day story of life with the Gallagher family on the Chatsworth estate in Manchester. Eldest daughter Fiona is bringing up the family with boyfriend Steve- Lip (Philip),Ian,Debbie,Carl and Liam - after their Mum Monica left to live with her trucker girlfriend. Dad Frank is a drunk who is of no help to anyone and has now shacked up with Sheila,a kind woman,but who suffers from numerous mental health problems and their twin babies Nigel and Delia. Veronica and Kev are good friends of the Gallagher's and live next door to the family while local policemen Tony and Stan tend to turn a blind eye whenever they can to keep the families out of trouble. Veronica's mum,Carol and brother Marty,who suffers from Tourettes syndrome,often join them down the local pub,The Jockey,where Kev works and which is run by lesbian landlady Jez. Sheila's daughter,Karen works at the pub having told Jez that she is gay and now lives in the flat upstairs as well. Ian is gay but only his twin brother Lip knows,he has been seeing Kash who runs the corner shop where he works for some time. Kash's wife Yvonne found out about them but has decided to stay in the marriage and keep quiet so she can get a few more kids out of him.
