- Description:BLOOM is a six part series about flower families. Presented by Anne Swithinbank and Bill Chudziak, each programme is a sensuous and informative tour of the flowers belonging to a particular family and the people who are passionate about them. The series visits small and large private gardens, public gardens, nurseries, allotments and wild flower sites to track down well-known and unusual blooms. Passionate gardeners mix with florists and plantsmen, imparting practical information on how to choose and grow members of a family or just enthusing about their variety and beauty. BLOOM is aimed at gardeners and non-gardeners alike. It can be enjoyed for its stunning photography of flowers, its wealth of cultivation tips from enthusiasts and amateurs and its fascinating portraits of the gardeners who love to grow the blooms. _______________________________________________________ THE PRESENTERS ANNE SWITHINBANK studied at Kew Gardens and worked as Glasshouse Supervisor at RHS Wisley.
