Summary:A Christian rave service for Christmas day.
Description:RAVE 1: organised by a house church (Christians who shun the appointed services in church and worship in informal groups in someone's house) within a church building. The monthly service aims to reflective and New Age house music is played behind readings, and this house church group sometimes has a communion ritual at its rave services.
RAVE 2: Held on a weekly basis and sets out to be fun, talk based but intellectual. Bible texts are sometimes acted out to bring home the message eg. the ravers might throw salt over them to illustrate God's children being 'salt of the earth'....
RAVE 3: Between 500 and 600 people attend this rave event which also attracts the youngest christians of the three (from 12-20yrs) Held in an anglican church it verges on being a concert, but is still very much a service with preaching and prayers, but no communion. Dancing is the priority and ravers are expected to join in the choruses.
