- Title: FJ-HRN-2930
- Summary: Daniel Craig: HRN-2930 Defiance Daniel Craig
- Description:02:41:23 - Sound Bite: Daniel Craig do you feel the pressure telling a real story? I think you do. I think you feel that you sort of want to be as accurate as possible. But there comes a stage, I mean what I do is I research it as much as I possibly can then read and talk and talk with as many people as I can and then when you come to filming you have to interpret it, you know you have to sort of put yourself into it, otherwise youre going to be stifled by the facts and youve got to sort of interpret the part and make it as real as you possibly can. 02:42:00 - Sound Bite: Daniel Craig how was it meeting the relatives of the figures they were portraying It was fantastic, it was an amazing experience because they came over to visit and sat on set and in fact sort of visited places and went to see um uh places where the um parents had been. Um and it was quite emotional really. There are you know they are a big lively family, a really lovely and lively family. It was great to have them around with their energy. 02:42:41 - Sound Bite: Daniel Craig was it hard to portray the brothers No it wasnt because Liev is really very very easy to work with and has a um, we immediately as soon as we met, I mean Jamie, he and I sort of struck up a relationship that became kind of siblings um very almost immediately and we kept that going on set, I mean it was a joy. 02:43:07 - Sound Bite: Daniel Craig challenges/interesting parts of shooting in Lithuania Um it was, it was very challenging only because we were outside 12 hours a day and it was getting colder and colder as the, but what really it really helped the shooting of the movie because we were in the same chain of forest that they were actually that the story actually occurs in, and um it just gave the whole movie the proper feeling, that the light was as beautiful as we could make it and the whole atmosphere of the film is based around the forest. 02:43:54 - Sound Bite: Daniel Craig can we draw a comparison between Bond and this character Can we draw a comparison? I dont know we can, really. I mean one does it for a living and the other one doesnt want to do it. um its um, hes trying to survive at a very basic level. Um and uh his um his you know his instinct is to run away and just look after his family and he gets sort of this responsibility thrust upon him. 02:44:40 - Sound Bite: Daniel Craig why are WWII movies more successful than other war movies I mean I think theyve been I think that the truth of it is that that the stories from that time are really very important and that we dont forget them and I think recent wars are much harder to do. I mean I dont think thats the case. I mean the Vietnam war had plenty of movies about it, and I think that you probably need distance between huge events like that to get a proper assessment and to understand them all. I dont really think you understand them as well as you should.
