- Summary: Twilight - Kristen Stewart: Twilight Junket Kristen Stewart Interview
- Description:09:47:42 - Sound Bite: Kristen Stewart Uhm I auditioned, I was working on something else and I was on location and I only had like two weeks left of filming and so I wasnt really interested in reading scripts, I was really focused and preoccupied and being like a snooty actor and this was like forced on me it was like it was such a big deal. And I read a synopsis that was terrible and I said I dont want to be a part of something so trite and (talks) and yeah ideological, its just not a good representation of, its not something you should push on kids in such ? I dont want to be a part of it. And then I read the script because I had to cause my agents were like read the script and uh and I I really needed, I really needed, needed to at least have an audition and me and Catherine worked for like four hours like ok, ok so youve got it. Lets lets do this together and she was like ok great. Thats how it happened. 09:48:46 - Sound Bite: Kristen Stewart Yeah I lived with the book for three months uh I lived with the book for three months uhm I thought it was very, I mean I understand its oddly engaging. I read from a different perspective because I had the part, I put myself in her position entirely but I feel like its, I feel like thats, thats sort of what everybody has to do, its first hand nar, like first person narrative and uhm and you know shes sort of the vessel that you experience the story through so. 09:49:35 - Sound Bite: Kristen Stewart I dont know what it is uhm I mean the two of, the two of them are very complicated and and on the surface not what you, I mean, I mean theyre not what youd expect, especially in the first book. Uhm theyre like you know the power balance is so off, like you would think the vampire would be this perfect, and he is supposed to be perfect but hes so flawed and she uhm thats one of the things she loves about him and sort of like help him through. So shes the assertive one, its weird. 09:50:17 - Sound Bite: Kristen Stewart Yeah I feel like I couldnt play a different character when I did this movie, it was like impossible, it was weird (talks) Yeah yeah I know its so weird it was like I mean shes a very distinct character but at the same time I could really only bring myself to her because thats what everybody does when they read the book. You sort of pick and choose personality traits that are sort of apparent in the book and project your own onto her and uh justify the things she does personally. Uhm so it was weird being so exposed. (talks)
