- Summary: MICHAEL PENA/THE LUCKY ONES: HRN-2687 The Lucky Ones Michael Pena
- Description:00:00:28 - Sound Bite: Michael Pena what resonated with you in this script? I mean it was the same thing its like you, I want something that entertains me, I mean its very like if you pick up a comic book your like this is cool and you keep reading thats kind of the way you know when you are a kid thats kind of the way I chose scripts Im like its not anything political or I want to say anything, not yet you know if it is I am sure that will come about but this one is just just having the joy and pleasure of reading something and wanting to see that movie. 00:01:08 - Sound Bite: Michael Pena this was a healing process Yeah, (talking) yeah I mean for his is was you know hes hes against the war and stuff and he is playing somebody who just came back from the war so I think thats got to be something interesting on his psyche with his political views and I dont know I think he kind of came off in a way so that you feel for his character you know, you also laugh at his character but you feel for his character and what he is going through. 00:01:46 - Sound Bite: Michael Pena did you talk to a lot of soldiers? No. (talking) Well it was mainly the script I mean I am playing a guy whose private parts arent working anymore and he is a cocky guy at that you know what I mean, not a lot of, if the guy is cocky hes not going to tell you about that and it is going to be difficult to relay those kind of stories and those points that I you know that I wanted so I pretty much relied on the script and worked with the I did a lot of work with the director emailing him like what to do what about this and what about that. 00:02:28 - Sound Bite: Michael Pena- worst thing to happen to your character Yeah totally it uh um I think it did you know and there is times where you know you see even in the movie you know there is conversation and he is stuck out somewhere and hes like you know could be thinking about it you know and isnt quite comfortable with whats going on and it could shake somebodys you know that is like Tiger Woods melting down like on Sunday at Augusta, you know what I mean or uh where its like this never happens to me. 00:03:04 - Sound Bite: Michael Pena did you feel like you were on a road trip shooting this? Totally, but except it was like Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, you know what I mean because obviously we were on planes we werent on trains but it was like automobiles going back and forth and a lot of traveling, I mean when you travel with one crew from city to city to city to city um it gets to be a little like a circus.
