- Description:02:51:31 - Sound Bite: Colin Farrell & Martin McDonagh In Bruges Junket Colin Didnt get the trifecta two out of three aint bad. 02:51:49 - Sound Bite: Colin Farrell & Martin McDonagh In Bruges Junket Colin I think it was written specifically for me, he just doesnt want to, no it wasnt, it may have been specifically but any thats a question for you I believe Martin Uhm yeah I mean right now I cant even imagine that it was ever sort of London gangsters Colin Yeah Martin Cause the whole Irish element to it you know Brendon Colin There wasnt many changes either in the Martin No not really I think theres a you know sort of a working class London isnt I guess to, too far away from working class Dublin so I think thats where the Colin not at all Martin but I think it added kind of ? in some ways that Boss is ? and hes British and hes got this kind of adversarial uh kind of quality that sometimes the British and the Irish have. Colin Sure absolutely, absolutely Martin but no uh its sweet, its great to hear two irish accents in the middle of a big Hollywood film Colin yeah yeha Martin for once. The revolutions come up Colin aye Anarchy! 02:52:55 - Sound Bite: Colin Farrell & Martin McDonagh In Bruges Junket Martin uh absolutely nothing apart from they kept there Christmas decorations up that film all takes place at Christmas so they just kept the decorations they have up on the streets up until mid march Colin ? was murder wasnt it, half the budget Martin yeah and kept the tree up but uh no I mean the whole story grew our organically out of a trip to Bruges that I had and realized that this place had never been captured on film before and its so stunning and I couldnt have have, and if they havent allowed us to shoot there we would have scraped the whole idea because you couldnt set it in Prague or Paris or any other place, it had to be a kind of had to be a quite obscure little town but one that was like a fairytale like place for all these kind of darker twisted happenings that go on. 02:53:41 - Sound Bite: Colin Farrell & Martin McDonagh In Bruges Junket Colin right, yeah I think just for rage is uh little people, as Ray calls them Midgets in the film they just make sense. I dont know why but I mean I just, I could by into them my self very easy and Jordon hes beautiful, you know hes a very handsome man anyway with just his limbs and the way he moved and the way he climbed up the steps into my trailer was just really gorgeous and uh so it was easy to adopt that whole you know whole philosophy that midgets are cool you know rock on, I mean that was genuinely, I dont know, I just, it was something that I didnt really have to dig deep and think well why is he into, like has he got a fascination with the wizard of oz or something happened when he was young and it it was just like no, I think theres something very child like about Ray as well you know theres something very childlike, and not to say an LP is a child of course unless they are of an age that they are a child but uhm for Ray there was this kind of uh you get me because Im kind of a little bit like you as well or maybe I feel a little bit like an outsider as well for Ray you know there was that element as well that Ray never felt I dont think like I dont think he fit into society even in Dublin where he was from and thats why I think he moved over to London to kind of try to find a home for himself and hooked up with Ken but always ill at ease with himself regardless of where he went so I think kind of he was reaching out in that way as well probably. But it was an easy thing to go for, I loved it.
