- Summary: Patrick Dempsey/Enchanted: HRN-1630 Enchanted Patrick Dempsey
- Description:12:37:42 - Sound Bite: Patrick Dempsey Giselle as a contemporary woman Well it depends, you know. Some some of the movies, uh, some of the Japanese movies the women are very strong, very heroic warrior women, and um, and this is different for Disney certainly because it makes fun of itself and it changes the princess and makes her a much more of um a I think a contemporary woman. 12:37:52 - Sound Bite: Patrick Dempsey Giselles heroic character Yeah. She and uh. Yeah she becomes the hero, and its the its funny the last scene where she grabs the sword and goes up and saves his life is great. 12:38:07 - Sound Bite: Patrick Dempsey Working with Amy Adams Oh, absolutely. She just really uhm, shes very funny, very smart, and at the same time very sensitive too. And I think her ability as a dancer and singer uh and you know, shes really a major talent, certainly. And a great actress to work with. 12:38:28 - Sound Bite: Patrick Dempsey Dancing and singing Oh I like the dancing. The singing Im not very comfortable with. But I really enjoy the dancing numbers, and certainly the ballroom scene at the end was my favorite to do. 12:38:44 - Sound Bite: Patrick Dempsey How his character and Amys character conflict on ideas of love Well thats the big, I mean the big set pieces in really, when the movie takes off. Where in their relationship, Robert and Giselle are talking about love and his point of view is that it doesnt happen. Theres nothing thats, you know theres no happy ever after, theres no magical kiss. Its just not the way it works, and shes like, Yes it is. And she goes on to show him through song how magical life can be. Uh and its a its a really fun moment in the movie. 12:39:09 - Sound Bite: Patrick Dempsey On seeing the movie Yes. Ive seen it by myself, I saw it with a, with an audience, and I think its a fun movie to go see in the theater because of peoples participation in the theater. 12:39:24 - Sound Bite: Patrick Dempsey On all the different elements of moviemaking in the film Yeah, its nice, it it takes sort of all the modern elements of filmmaking as well as the old fashioned school of filmmaking with the musical numbers and hand drawn animation. I think its a nice blend of all these genres coming together and working successfully. In a fun way, its a great escape. 12:39:45 - Sound Bite: Patrick Dempsey On the director It was really interesting because he is, you know, comes from the animation world, so he had all his technology and all the things that he was working on, and uh, and doing the romantic comedy at the same time. And he would always bring us, you know, examples of the evolution of Pip uh and and and showing us on the um on the computer screen, and things like that. So that was really enjoyable to see how it was all kind of coming together. 12:40:13 - Sound Bite: Patrick Dempsey A character like Giselle in Greys Anatomy Certainly this season, yeah. Hahaha. I think they definitely need somebody thats optimistic about love and relationships. Certainly.
