- Summary: Evan Almighty: Evan Almighty Junket Steve Carell Interview
- Description:05:23:32 - Sound bite: Steve Carell We had quite a few all of those birds or I would say 98 percent of those birds on me were real except those predator sorts that would you know tend to poke my eyes out they were real the elephants and giraffes and uh baboons and they were zebras and horse and the things the non-destructive animals were all real 05:24:10 - Sound bite: Steve Carell Yah yah. It was uh pretty overwhelming we got to Virginia we started shooting this what became to me the most overwhelming aspect to me was when I saw them start to build the arc cuz they really built it that is not a computer generated arc it is a well over 400 foot structure that they built from the ground up for the movie and uh just standing there and out director Tom Shedyac was very specific about wanting an actual structure of an arc because he felt that you could feel it you could see it, it would be different if you were standing against something that was painted on or backdrop of sorts (mike talks) well I built when before we started shooting it wasnt the one that you see in the movie mine was about 10 feet by 5 yah just to get warmed up. 05:25:26 - Yah it only took like 42 years and I just became a success it was, the last two years have been surreal that way because um I would of never expected it to never too happen and uh when Tom came and said were thinking about a sequel too Bruce Almighty a sequel of sorts a different story with a different character and um initially I thought he was coming ot me to maybe have me reprise my role um in another Jim Carrey movie and that I would play his antagonist or whatever um and then he said no were thinking about basing the story on your character and then he sort of talked about what the plot would be and I thought it was great also what I liked about it to is it was funny but there was also a sense of um heart to it there was something very kind and sort of responsible about the story which I liked (mike talks) 05:26:29 - yah I think the first one was PG 13 this ones PG this is really anyone could see this movie well It just wasnt necessary I mean it could have been PG 13 but as we were filming it I dont think it was a conscious decision to not swear or to not do things that were going over the line that way its just the way it turned out and we didnt miss any of it just wasnt necessary I dont think the comedy needed 05:26:59 - it wasnt like lets make a clean family friendly comedy lets just make something funny based on this story and this is what we got.
