THE TRAIN TRACKS CROSS TWO CANTILEVER CONSTRUCTION TRESTLES, GO THROUGH ONE TUNNEL, AND PROCEED ALONGSIDE A RAPIDLY RUNNING STREAM FOR APPROXIMATELY A THIRD OF THE FILM. THERE ARE NO PEOPLE OR STRUCTURES VISIBLE. 09:44:03 - A TRIP TO BERKELEY, CAL. AM&B, (1906) IN THE BEGINNING OF THE FILM, A STREETCAR PASSES IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA POSITION. THE CAMERA STARTS TO MOVE, INDICATING THAT IT WAS ON A STREETCAR SINCE IT IS IN THE SAME POSITION AS THE CAR IN THE FIRST SCENE. ALL THE FILM WAS PHOTOGRAPHED FROM THE STREETCAR. THE SCENES WERE TAKEN IN THE METROPOLITAN AREA, AND THERE ARE FOUR TURNS ON THE TRACK. SEVERAL OLD HOUSES CAN BE SEEN AS WELL AS PEOPLE AND CARTS ON THE STREET. A MAN SAUNTERS ON THE TRACK AHEAD OF THE STREETCAR. AS THE SCENE PROGRESSES, IT IS OBVIOUS THAT THE CAMERA HAS STOPPED MOVING. THE CONDUCTOR AND THE MOTORMAN GRAPPLE WITH THE SAUNTERER AND FINALLY PERSUADE HIM TO LEAVE THE TRACKS AFTER A WOMAN SPECTATOR HITS THEM OVER THE HEAD WITH HER UMBRELLA. FURTHER DOWN THE STREET, AN AUTOMOBILE IS TRYING TO GO UP THE HILL.IT IS BEING PASSED BY OVERLOADED HORSE DRAWN VEHICLES. THE STREETCAR THEN PROCEEDS, MAKING ONE MORE TURN BEFORE THE PICTURE ENDS. 09:47:15 - AT THE FOOT OF THE FLATIRON, NYC, AM&B (1903) THE SINGLE CAMERA POSITION, AT THE FOOT OF THE BUILDING AND AT A DIAGONAL OF THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING, SHOWS A LARGE WINDOW WITH A DISPLAY OF MERCHANDISE. BETWEEN THE CAMERA POSITION AND THE STOREFRONT, MANY PERSONS OF VARIOUS DESCRIPTION PASS BY. IT IS AN EXCESSIVELY WINDY DAY. 09:49:36 - PANORAMA OF FLATIRON BUILDING, NYC, AM&B (1903) THIS SHOWS A NEW YORK CITY STREET, PHOTOGRAPHED FROM A SINGLE CAMERA POSITION LOOKING ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE THEN FAMOUS FLATIRON BUILDING. THE CAMERAMAN ELEVATED HIS CAMERA, GOING FROM THE STREET LEVEL TO THE ROOF.
