- Title: 7/7: The Angels Of Edgware Road
- Date: 13th July 2008
- Summary: The Angels of Edgware Road tells the heroic and uplifting stories of the passengers and passers-by who stayed at the scene of the 2005 Edgware Road tube bombing, risking injury and death trying to save the lives of complete strangers. David Gardner remembers flying across the bombed carriage before landing on the floor with his leg crushed and gushing with blood. Jason Rennie was not badly injured, and he helped David tourniquet his leg, then held his hand and kept him talking so that he wouldn't lapse into a coma. The film includes an emotional reunion between the two men. Tim Coulson ran from the stationary train opposite and smashed the window before jumping through. He recounts movingly how he held a man who had been blown through the carriage floor, and said a prayer for him as he died in his arms. Then he helped save the life of Alison,a young office worker who was badly injured - an act for which he recently received a bravery award. Susanna Pell was blown unconscious by the blast and badly cut. Despite this, she made her way down towards the worst hit area and began tending to the wounded, applying tourniquets and helping the injured. Six people were killed in the bombing at Edgware Road and 163 others were injured. Had it not been for the prompt actions of the 'Angels of Edgware Road',more of those injured would have lost their lives.
