- Title: Rock On... And On
- Date: 24th October 2002
- Summary: Last autumn, for the first time in 30 years, legendary rockers Status Quo allowed cameras to accompany them on their biggest ever European tour. Francis Rossi (53) and Rick Parfitt (53) have been performing side by side for 35 years, clocking up a staggering total of 22 years on the road. With an enviable career selling over 112 million records, the grand old men of rock 'n' roll have indulged in more than their fair share of prodigious drinking, drug taking and womanising. From Plymouth to Dundee,Portsmouth to Glasgow, filmmaker Jane Treays (Men in the Woods) followed the band as they performed over 45 gigs and covered 6000 miles in the autumn of 2001. The band allowed Treays full access to the backstage area, bedrooms and night partying on the bus. What emerges is a compelling partnership of edgy perfectionist Rossi and loveable rogue Parfitt. The tour is relentless and exhausting and the resultant picture of two driven men rocking into old age is one the fans have never seen before.
