Summary:Programme 2 (Cleary) Mark Cleary was convicted in 1986 of the murder of 10 year old Wayne Keeton. He had been named as an accomplice by Philip Atherton, who had confessed to the crime himself 7 weeks earlier. The only evidence against Cleary was limited admissions he made during his interrogation which he retracted as soon as he was able to see a solicitor. Trial and Error believe Cleary has spent 8 years in jail for a crime he did not commit.
