Description:The challenge for Matt James is gardening where there's almost no space for gardening. He's the urban gardener with attitude, who wants to show city-dwellers the potential of their roofs, balconies and patios.
(episode ten)
Chris lives in a flat in the centre of Brighton,he has asked Matt to help him with his flat and uninspiring garden which is filled with weeds and has a building site next door. Chris would like his garden to be private, peaceful and unstructured so Matt comes up with a design that incorporates his ideas along with some that were inspired by Brighton itself. The garden is made up of turf circles edged with steel with an area of decking at the back. The plants and flowers work to free up the garden and make it less ordered and more fluid.
