After arranging the arrest of a suspicious Negro,they learn that Uncle Quentin,a famous scientist,has been kidnapped again. The children go off for a cycling and camping adventure. Stopping for a picnic the children stumble on jewel thieves and the dog is poisoned. The children have the thieves arrested before going on to the next village for ice creams. Stopping for another picnic,the dog is poisoned again and the children encounter a stolen atomic bomb. On arriving at their campsite the children discover a den of vice whilst looking for food. Arrests are made. Their new friend Toby is kidnapped and the children follow a trail that leads them to a castle ruin where they find Toby with an arch-villain. The arch-villain is Uncle Quentin who reveals he and Toby are about to escape the country together but the children have them arrested.
