- Title: 10 Years Younger: In Ten Days
- Date: 19th May 2004
- Description:Stylist Nicky Hambleton-Jones presents an extreme makeover show which aims to make someone look at least ten years younger each week. The participant has to undergo a humiliating poll in which members of the general public have to guess their age. The participant inevitably looks older than they should for their age and Hambleton-Jones confronts them with their average poll age. The programme then attempts to improve the participant's look by using a combination of plastic surgery, dentistry,a new haircut,make-up and a new wardrobe in the hope that a second poll will produce an average age that is at least ten years younger than the first result. The real challenge, however,is that all this has to be done in just ten days. Narrator: Simon Chadwick Producer: Dave Smith (episode four) Richard Power is 35 and works outside in all weathers acid-cleaning houses. This along with many nights out drinking has put his poll age at 39. Nicky Hambleton-Jones tells Richard he dresses like an old man and that he has a bad attitude that is aging him. Nicky has to persuade Richard to think young in order to look young but he continues to be resistant. Grooming expert,David Waters gives Richard a master class in shaving to try to reduce the rash that Richard gets due to his sensitive skin. Hair stylist Errol gives Richard hair extensions and covers up his stray grey hairs. Richard's skin, however, does not have such an easy ride as he is given Botox, fillers, laser treatments and an acid peal. At the end of the ten days Richard is disappointed to hear his new average is 30 but he is still happy with his new look.
