Next door neighbours Veronica and Kev are good friends of the Gallaghers. Local policeman Tony vies with car thief Steve for Fiona's affection. (Episode two) It's Friday and Frank is missing; this is unusual because Friday is giro day. Whilst a body is found in the local canal,Frank wakes up to find that he has somehow ended up in France. Once Fiona discovers that Steve dropped Frank off in Calais he is forced to go and collect him. Whilst Veronica and Kev are glad of the booze cruise opportunity,Frank decides to leave home as he feels that everyone is laughing at his expense. He eventually ends up in the pub where he learns that Eddie has left Sheila,who is on extra benefits due to her Agoraphobia. Frank decides to pay Sheila a visit and ends up moving in.
