- Title: Jump: London
- Date: 9th September 2003
- Summary: Taking the form of a day in London from dawn to dusk, this film centres on Sebastien Foucan, the co-founder of Free Running (also known as Le Parkour),and his team; Johann Vigroux,Jerome Ben Aoues and Stephan Vigroux (who does not take part due to an earlier injury). Free Running is a new sport that involves finding the fastest, most artful and spectacular route across large scale urban obstacles using no equipment apart from a good pair of trainers. The film also explores the origins and evolution of Free Running - both as a sport combining precision movement and careful training, and as a philosophy about overcoming obstacles. The Free Runners come to London from their home town of Lisses in France and explore the city looking for routes and areas to jump in. They are allowed the use of the Royal National Theatre,HMS Belfast, the Millennium Bridge,Tate Modern,Shakespeare's Globe Theatre,Somerset House, the Saatchi Gallery, the Mall,Trafalgar Square and the Royal Albert Hall. The three Free Runners perform routines over and around London's landmarks which are both risky and elegant from leaping across rooftops to flipping over walls and jumping from great heights. This is all shot from different camera angles and to an urban sound track. The film ends with the message that Free Running could be the new sport to take over from skateboarding and could redefine how we use our cities and the space around us. Narrator: Clare Tomlinson Producer: Mike Smith Director: Mike Christie
