The programme addresses the surgical and moral questions that surround a face transplant including whether the tissue will be rejected,what the psychological effects of having someone else's face are and how the donor's family will feel if they meet the recipient of their dead loved one's face. Despite the American's confidence,leading surgeons interviewed in London and Paris remain concerned about the psychological as well as physical side effects of such a controversial procedure and suggest a cautious approach is the best option but the Americans say they are just waiting for the right patient to get started.
