- Summary: (Episode eight) Yvonne gets sick of Barry and Graham from 'Accident Jackpot' for harassing her customers but Frank is far more pleasant to them when Yvonne hits him in the face with the shop door and Barry tells him he will be a rich man. Frank signs an agreement without reading it and refuses to back down when Kash and Yvonne tell him they'll have to close down the shop if he goes through with the claim. Fiona confesses that she is pregnant and her one-night-stand Craig is the father,Veronica persuades her to tell him but she chickens out after discovering he lives with his wife because he owes her money and due to quitting her job at the nursery she decides to have an abortion. Ian,Kash and Yvonne decide to try to save the shop by telling everyone in the community that Frank is to blame for the closure,he is soon cast out and every pub refuses to serve him forcing him to give in. The shop re-opens but Frank gets a visit from Barry and Graham saying he owes over ?900 in charges because he cancelled the claim. Fiona goes to the clinic but doesn't go through with the abortion; she has got a new driving job and says they will manage somehow. She tells Craig who says he would like to be involved and despite saying they would keep their relationship at a distance Craig stays over and they start dating. Sheila decides to win the money for Frank as she has a bit of a talent with TV and radio quizzes,with the help of Carl and Debbie,Frank and everyone in the pub watches as Sheila wins ?1000 on a TV quiz,they all celebrate but Frank is knocked out by a flying fist and Kev takes the opportunity to blame Barry who was standing close by. Barry says it wasn't him but Kev says there are plenty of witnesses here that will say it was,he persuades him to drop all the charges and Frank has a party. The next day Sheila tells Frank she paid off all his debts,not knowing they had been dropped,Frank is devastated but slightly less so when he sees the Jet Ski outside their house that Sheila won off the radio.
- Description:The second series of drama SHAMELESS tells the every day story of life with the Gallagher family on the Chatsworth estate in Manchester. Veronica and Kev are good friends of the Gallagher's and live next door to the family while local policemen Tony and Stan tend to turn a blind eye whenever they can to keep the families out of trouble. Veronica's mum,Carol and brother Marty,who suffers from Tourettes syndrome,often join them down the local pub,The Jockey,where Kev works and which is run by lesbian landlady Jez. Sheila's daughter,Karen works at the pub having told Jez that she is gay and now lives in the flat upstairs as well. Ian is gay but only his twin brother Lip knows,he has been seeing Kash who runs the corner shop where he works for some time. Kash's wife Yvonne found out about them but has decided to stay in the marriage and keep quiet so she can get a few more kids out of him.
