Everyone cleans up frantically and Kev and Veronica meet Eric,a miserable ten-year-old who they are to look after until he finds something more permanent. Things don't get off to a great start when he eats some of their left over hash cake from the party and passes out. Steve drives them to the hospital in his latest stolen car but they are pulled over by police. Eric wakes up so Steve decides to drive off and they all discover what he does for a living. It becomes clear that Eric is being bullied at school so after an initial bad patch Kev decides to teach him how to box and the boys bond. Tony informs Steve that the car he stole is the police inspector's wife's so he needs to return it but the car has gone. On Eric's last day he goes missing and the girl who bullied him turns up with the police and her mum with a black eye and her arm in a sling, they think that Eric has gone after the other two girls in the gang of bullies so Steve and Kev drive round to find him. Whilst checking the girls are ok Steve spots the car and steals it back. Kev returns without Eric and they are about to tell the social worker he is missing when he turns up and says he doesn't want to go. Unfortunately he doesn't have a choice and despite enjoying having him Kev and Veronica decide to wait before they do it again so they can spend more time alone. Steve returns the car to Tony who asks him for a partnership, with him working on the inside for Steve and getting a cut in return,Steve agrees and they shake on it.
