- Title: The World At Your Feet Bartle Frere/Russell River Walk
- Date: 18th July 1990
- Summary: The first of five programmes, each a walk along one of the world's great wilderness trails - in Australia, Wales, Canada, New Zealand and India. The Australian walk is through a wild and beautiful rainforest which cloaks the Bellenden ker Range, along the winding Russell River and then up the steep rugged slopes of Mt. Bartle Frere. The walk is a combination of two tracks, one through the forests of the Queensland Forestry Department and the other up the twisting path of the Bellender ker National Park. The lead walker is rugged Rob Jago, a self-taught botanist and self-employed plumber; the other trekkers are Jeanette Covacevich, curator of reptiles at the Queensland Museum and Tony Irvine, a research biologist who specialises in the reproductive ecology of rain forest plants as well as Sorrel Wilby, a photojournalist with the Australian Geographic Magazine.
