- Title: The World At Your Feet Zanskar
- Date: 15th August 1990
- Summary: A 9 day trek from Manali to Padum, 16,500 ft up in the remote Himalayan region of Ladakh on India's border with China. Ladakh has a unique culture centred on the Buddhist monasteries or gompas. The route of the journey follows paths used by Llamas from the gompas in the mountains on their yearly pilgrimage down to the plains, following in the footsteps of Buddha. Actress, writer and wildlife campaigner Virginia McKenna is accompanied on her first trek to the Himalayas by two people who know the area extremely well, the British Naturalist Michael Green and Naresh Sohal - an Indian composer and Buddhist scholar. The film not only follows the experiences of the walkers but introduces the animal and plant life of the area, and the way in which the local people must work with nature in order to survive.
