Summary:Geoffrey is the world's worst pool player, and he has never had a girlfriend. His social inadequacies have earned him the title 'The Loser'. One day, the bar- man in the local pool hall promises to hypnotise him into the persona of any great pool player of Geoffrey's choice. The Big Match follows and Geoffrey is playing brilliantly, beating the local hot shot - Rod - hands down and impressing Rod's girlfriend Angela. Yet, at the end of the game Geoffrey pots the white and loses, again. It seems that the pool player he had chosen to be, Polka Dot J ones, was in he habit of ruining his games by potting the white at the end of t hem. Geoffrey loses the game and the girl and is left contemplating his misfortunes.
