Summary:On 23rd April 1991 British Airways gave away 50 thousand airline tickets in their competition "The World's Biggest Offer" which was open to every country in the world. Each ticket winner could invite a friend or relative to accompany them to their chosen 'dream' destination. A free holiday was not the only reason for travelling. Some wished to fulfil a lifetime's goal or to visit relatives now living abroad or to seek out old friends and relive old memories.
