- Summary: A Sense of Humour: The scene is set in a 1930's New York Library. MIKE MCSHANE is reading and noisily eating peanuts - the librarian repeatedly tells him to hush. As he narrates the story of 'A sense of Humour' Mike sets a joke booby trap in a book - which is later triggered by another reader. Mike then sits next to a man eating his peanuts and as he finishes the story Mike ducks under the table and gives the man next to him a 'hot foot' which then causes him to yell out in pain as Mike leaves the library. The Story of A sense of Humour - Frankie Ferrone runs off with Joe the Joker's wife, Rosa. In a sinister practical joke Joe gets his revenge by arranging a situation in which Frankie thinks he is shooting Joe dead in a sack but when the sack is opened it is not Joe, but Rosas in the sack.)
