Summary:In the Spring of 1993, six members of the original expedition that first climbed the world's highest mountain, returned to the Everest region for a special reunion. They were the leader, Lord Hunt, Sir Edmund Hillary, George Lowe, Charles Wylie, Mike Westmacott and George Band. A Dolphin Productions film crew went with them to record their personal memories of the climb and their impressions of the land of the Sherpas which has seen many changes in the intervening years. The programme includes unique archive material from the original film, The Conquest of Everest, made in 1953.
