Summary:Sophie and William move on to Norway for the seventh programme in their series on the traditional foods of Europe. From the cosy interior of a fisherman's cottage on the Lofoten Islands, inside the Arctic Circle, they discover the many and varied delights of the region's staple diet: fish. Their visit coincides with the annual arrival of spawning cod which marks the beginning of frenetic activity during the two-month fishing season that follows. Ase Statle shows Sophie how to cook molja, a traditional dish of boiled cod steaks and roe with liver sauce, with cod only a few yards from her kitchen.
