- Title: Walk On The Wild Side
- Date: 2nd February 1994
- Summary: HACKERS AND PHREAKERS: "Tap a few keys and you're miles away...." A thirty minute film about two teenage prodigy computer-hackers/phone phreakers They rip off top secret information from the files of huge corporations and government agencies. They are the vilified dissidents of the information superpowers. Their biggest goal is to prove that the telecommunications systems set up in late twentieth century are just channels by which global corporations can fleece the public. Their own crimes are incidental to the huge scams that go on at another level. Ironically, their dastardly deeds are all done from the comfort of their suburban homes in the South East of England. Before this programme was made they had communicated many times through their modems but had never spoken face to face. The film also follows them to the Hacktic '93 summer festival in Amsterdam which attracts computer outlaws from all over the world where they meet their hacking heroes, swap tips, listen to conspiracy theories, etc. Directed by Paul McGuigan.
