- Title: My Dad Is Mrs Bottomley Was Kids In Care
- Date: 27th September 1994
- Summary: An observational documentary about three children living in a children's home in the south of England. The story is told entirely from their perspective. Jodi is fourteen and is trying to come to terms with having been sexually abused. Lee, fifteen, feels rejected by his Dad and attempts to re-establish contact with him. Kerry, sixteen, is pregnant. We follow the emotional roller-coaster of their daily lives and see the attempts of care workers to provide comfort and support. The film addresses the stigma that attaches to those in care, by showing that these children are in the home as a result of family breakdown and not through any fault of their own.
