Summary:Accessible reality soap on gay/lesbian lives.
Glasgow is a city of many faces, home of Celtic and Rangers, Rennie
Mackintosh - and the largest lesbian and gay centre in Europe. This
docu-soap is set in and around Glasgow's eclectic lesbian and gay
scene. Featuring a cast of real-life characters whose stories are
interwoven into a rich tapestry, we see scenes from the Mr Gay UK
finals through to a lesbian custody battle, via preparations for Scottish
Pride. For fun, Jim, a former shipyard worker is a reluctant recruit for
line dancing classes, while Erin is fighting to complete a line up of
women drummers to perform at an imminent gig. Back in reality,
June fights for custody of her four-year-old son, while student Julie
gets a placement with photographer Della Grace - but meets with
disapproval at college. Building to a vibrant and colourful finale,
Glasgow Kiss is more soap-like than the soaps themselves, and just as
riveting.
