- Summary: An investigation into Gulf War Syndrome - nearly 100,000 claim sickness resulting from serving in the Gulf War,while there has been six years of denial from the Ministry of Defence. The new Labour government promises an investigation. The programme asks whether Saddam Hussein used chemical warfare. Recently declassified documents reveal that nerve agents were used; however both the US and UK governments denied that Iraq was using chemical warfare. The Allied attacks also exposed their own troops to chemical weapons: the bombing of the Iraqi chemical weapons facilities blew hundreds of tons of chemicals towards the troops.
