- Description:The Golden Rose-winning sitcom returns for a second series. Socially dysfunctional 20somethings Mark (David Mitchell) and Jeremy (Robert Webb) share a flat in south London. Problem-solving is most definitely not their forte,as they struggle to find answers to love and fulfilment as well less stressful tasks such as what DVD to watch and drugs to take, and where to find each other's porn stash. Mark is hopelessly in love with a girl called Sophie from work but has to compete for her affections with his irritatingly smug work colleague Jeff. Jez has always had a bit of a thing for the girl next door,Toni but she has just got back with her husband who is also called Tony. Luckily he has met a very attractive American called Nancy but is not sure if he can keep her interested. His dodgy mate Superhans is still around to help him with his so called 'music career' which never manages to ever really get off the ground. Created by: Andrew O'Connor,Jesse Armstrong,Sam Bain Director: Tristram Shapeero Producer: Phil Clarke Cast: Rachel Blanchard (Nancy),Olivia Colman (Sophie),Neil Fitzmaurice,John Hodgekinson (Tony),Patterson Joseph (Alan Johnson),Elizabeth Marmur (Toni),David Mitchell (Mark),Robert Webb (Jeremy) and David Armand,Stephen Beresford,Cathryn Bradshaw (dance instructor),Alan Westaway (Gwyn) (Episode one) Jeremy (Jez) thinks he is in love with the girl in the flat next door Toni and despite her having gotten back together with her husband Tony,Jez decides to tell her how he feels. She is pleased and tells her husband who also doesn't seem bothered and says it is understandable because she is so great. Mark has managed to hack into Sophie's e-mails and after reading that she thinks he is too uptight he agrees to come along to a dance class and brings Jez with him. The class turns out to be 'Rainbow Rhythms',Mark's idea of hell but Jez meets an attractive American called Nancy and revels in the new dance moves. Jez soon forgets all about Toni as he and Nancy set upon the task of breaking all the sexual boundaries whilst Mark continues to read Sophie's mail. The four of them decide to go away in the camper van but end up getting lost so Nancy suggests they go to Gwyn's house who is the new man from the dance class. After getting Mark to go skinny dipping in the lake he and Jez break another taboo by kissing each other in a game of spin the bottle. The night soon turns into an orgy but Sophie and Mark decide to escape outside where Mark sings to her and Jez ends up having to watch Nancy and Gwyn have sex under a blanket. Mark reads Sophie's mail for the last time and finds out she thinks they might have something special but it does not last long as Sophie catches him in the act.
