- Description:Peep Show returns for a second series in which socially dysfunctional 20somethings Mark (David Mitchell) and Jeremy (Robert Webb) share a flat in south London and their inner thoughts can still be heard - whether they be dark, stupid or embarrassingly overblown. Problem-solving is most definitely not their forte,as they struggle to find answers to love and fulfilment as well less stressful tasks such as what DVD to watch, what drugs to take, and where to find each other's porn stash. Mark is hopelessly in love with a girl called Sophie from work but has to compete for her affections with his irritatingly smug work colleague Jeff. Jez has always had a bit of a thing for the girl next door,Toni but she has just got back with her husband who is also called Tony. Luckily he has met a very attractive American called Nancy but is not sure if he can keep her interested. His dodgy mate Superhans is still around to help him with his so called 'music career' which never manages to ever really get off the ground. Created by: Andrew O'Connor,Jesse Armstrong,Sam Bain Director: Tristram Shapeero Producer: Phil Clarke Cast: Rachel Blanchard (Nancy),Olivia Colman (Sophie),Neil Fitzmaurice (Jeff),John Hodgekinson (Tony),Patterson Joseph (Alan Johnson),Matt King (Superhans),David Mitchell (Mark),Elizabeth Marmur (Toni),Robert Webb (Jeremy) and Matt Blaze,Peter Capaldi,Alexia Healy,Harmage Singh Kalirai,Logan Murray,Catherine Shepherd,Tony Wadham (Episode four) Mark meets a beautiful girl called April with no self esteem and an interest in ancient history in a shoe shop,he goes back to ask her out but finds out she is at Uni in Dartmouth. Meanwhile Superhans tells Jeremy he is going on the road with 'Executioner's bong' and gets them to let him play the maracas with the band. Mark finds out the first gig is at Dartmouth uni so he joins Jez on the coach trip down. Whilst Jez convinces himself he is part of the band despite having to go on the coffee run Mark bumps into April and ends up pretending he is studying history and sits in on a tutorial. He says he is a mature student and gets away with it and is even invited along with April to the professor's private party as he was so impressed by his history knowledge. Jez nearly ruins everything by getting caught stealing at the local shop and then turns up at the party drunk and depressed because he got thrown off stage at the gig. Mark manages to make it back to April's room without her finding out he has been lying and all goes well until she decides she doesn't want to rush things because they have got three years together. Mark is gutted but takes some solace in the fact that she would have slept with him if he had only had a few more days.
