- Title: Putting The Fun In Fundamental
- Date: 14th December 2004
- Summary: Presenter and playful inquisitor Elliott Gerner throws himself into the religious firing line. JewWatch.com is one of many pernicious sites on the internet that fuel anti-Semitism by publishing a list of prominent Jews to "keep a close watch on". But the list also happens to be a roll-call of the great and the good, including Bob Dylan, Woody Allen, Noam Chomsky and Ringo Starr! Elliott and his director Andy Lee, two Jewish blokes on a mission, head to America to try to get themselves on the list. With help from New York comedian Jackie Mason and his Florida-based estranged family, as well as the ghost of Elvis Presley's Jewish grandmother, they try to find out why Jews have a big presence in the entertainment industry and why people might be scared of them. After they get their freshly-pressed record spun on Memphis radio, the film culminates in a meeting with Don Black, who hosts the offending website. Once jailed for trying to overthrow the Dominican Republic government in an armed coup, the ex-Ku Klux Klan leader refers to the "so-called Holocaust" but nonetheless promises to wield his influence to get them on The List.
- Description:Elliott and Andy bring a humorous and dark eye to the outer fringes of the religious world. This five part series consists of five individual films which they film and present as themselves. Subjects range from meeting the Bollywood B movie actress who is now seen as a Goddess with around a 100 Hindu temples that use her fictional Goddess film role in their worship to understand the rapture movement in the U.S.
