- Summary: Episode Five: The Big Lock-Out The shop is broken into so Manny arranges for a new security system to be installed but he doesn't listen to the instructions on how it works and ends up locking himself in and Bernard out. Fran bumps into Howell,a guy she knew from college who she doesn't like but who's voice has a strange affect on her,he tells her he is reading the shipping news that night on radio four and so Fran leaves the phone off the hook and takes a bottle of wine and the radio to bed. Bernard cannot get through to Fran so spends the night wandering the streets,begging for money,sitting in an empty cinema with no film,warming himself in an adult video shop and working in a burger bar. Manny is trapped in the house with an SAS survival book and a bottle of absinthe; he drinks the bottle,makes a camp for himself,sings songs and eats dead wasps. In the morning the shop has been broken into again but this time they have stolen the security system much to everyone's relief.
