The suggestions of a satisfied smile sketch across his face. He then contemplates the landscape rolling by outside the window. Later, one finds him ringing the bell at the gates of a villa. A gardener opens them, and the young Arab forces his entry) and penetrates the property. The domestic enters the parlor to warn his master that a strange man wishes to speak to him. The young Arab gives him an envelope then leaves hastily. The man is appalled by reading the documents; his features crumple at the horrifying revelations. He is stricken with illness, caused by emotional shock.
