Description:00 34 17 00 Italy, 1910s. In an upper-class bedroom, a young lady telephones her accomplice. Later, one finds the young lady in her chic salon, loaded with decoration. She hands her lover a new letter, notifying her of her debt. He comforts her, reassures her, then leaves. Later, inside an upper-class parlor, a man of note enters and reads his mail; soon after, a friend enters. The first man, a government minister, hands him a newspaper article about a political scandal in which he is implicated because he paid his mistress's debts. His friend reassures him.
