Description:01 04 19 00 France, 1910s. An old bell-ringer examine his bells in the steeple of a church; one perceives the city panoramically stretching out behind him. He speaks to his bells as though they were human being; he is a lonely man. Perplexed and doubtful, he seems worried about his bells, and their bad sound. He climbs down again with difficulty, casting a final glance at the bells. Resigned, he leaves the bell tower.
