We share a common way of life, a way of life based on common values such as Checks and Balances, which actually the US invented, the rule of law, democracy and human rights. TC 0119: "We are called upon to work together, to stand side by side and to use any means bilaterally and multilaterally in order to advance in the fight against this pandemic. TC 0129: "I believe that actions taken by certain states of the Mediterranean, from Libya, Syria, to north Iraq -- even the reclassification of a world monument the Hagia Sofia as a new Mosque, should lead the EU to reevaluate the relations with Turkey." - ZOOM IN Pompeo - SOUNDBITE (English) Mike Pompeo, US Foreign Secretary: TC 0154: "Thank you Foreign Minister Schallenber, I appreciate you and Mr Kurz hosting me here. Pretty nice place! TC 0204: "I talked with our Austrian counterparts this morning on our support of IAEA General Grossi's critical mission to ensure that all countries comply with their international nuclear safeguard requirements. That mission is all the more important, given the Islamic Republic to address the IAEAs questions about its nuclear activities. TC 0226: "I have one more great treat this morning. I want to announce that the Department of Defense has now approved Austria for the state partnership program. A programme through which the US national guard and military forces ally with partner nations around the world. Welcome! This will be a great addition to our relationship. We are not discussing -- this afternoon, sanctions. We are discussing the situation in Belarus. I believe that what is needed now is a clear common line by the EU. As I said at the beginning, we are extremely worried about the situation we are seeing there. Europe and the EU and especially Austria has been among them -- reaching out to them. We don't want to push them back into the Russian hemisphere. And they were helpful on such issues like Ukraine in the past." TC 0320: - SOUNDBITE (English) Mike Pompeo, US Foreign Secretary: "We have been at this issue about this UN arms embargo coming on two years, since December 2018 -- was the first time I spoke publicly about it. It makes no sense to permit the world's largest state sponsor of terrorism to purchase and sell weapons systems. It does not make sense for the European people either, in our view. We think anybody within missile range will be at greater risk. because of the air defense systems for example, that the Iranians would be able to purchase if this arms embargo expires on October 18. And so, we are urging the whole world to join us, to just make the simple statement that this is not about the JCPOA, this is about whether the world is going to permit Iran to buy and sell weaèpms systems. It is that clear, and it is that simple. We think that the time is not right, we do not think that Iran has given any indication that it is in a place remotely where the world should allow Iran and China to sell them high end weapon systems, and so we gonna do anything we can with our diplomatic tool set to ensure that the UN embargo does not expire. (We hope...)" - ZOOM IN camera , FMs standing at flags, ellbow shake
