- Date: 30th June 2020
- Description:Local ranger and his dog take care of two abandonned baby chamois and fawn Very sweet pictures of two wild game animals which were found recently by hikers in the woods of Ferlach, Austrian province of Carinthia. The hikers brought them to a local forest ranger, and his girl-friend, a vet. The two raise them carefully since a couple of weeks. They give them well-temperatured milk and a home. The animal parents of the two little ones might have died. In fact, the story is about a chamois baby and a fawn. At the ranger’s home, they got familiar with their dog, Ivan, a Bavarian gundog. Unbelievable for ordinary persons, but obviously for experts, Ivan has taken over the role of the mother of the two little ones. The local citizens who are big fan of the game animals, like to come around and watch the fawn and the chamois playing with Ivan. In autumn, the ranger plans to release the chamois and the fawn back into wild nature.
